Avery's Pirate Party

My son Avery recently turned 4.  We decided to throw him a Jake and the Neverland Pirates birthday party.

We had planned to throw it mostly outdoors and use our swing set as "Jake's Hideout".  But, it was a rainy day so the entire party got moved indoors.  That made things a little cramped, but we made it work.

When guests arrived we had an "X marks the spot" on our front door.

Then the children could play in "Bucky's Ball Pit" while waiting for the rest of the guests to arrive.

Once everyone had arrived we had a swashbuckling lunch.

Then the children received pirate hats and a treasure map.

The treasure maps guided the children to different activity stations.

Next, it was back to Bucky to open gifts.

Then time for cake and icecream.

I hope you enjoyed taking a peek at my son's party.  Here are a few more pictures of the day.
